This tiny case opens up on your lap like a tray. The trumpet is suspended on adjustable shock-absorbing rubber blocking, with the instrument braced around the valve casings so that the bell cannot touch the padded end of the case. A smaller straight mute will/may also fit inside the case and there is a mouthpiece slot as well as storage for small accessories such as valve oil etc. Blocking in the lid section locks perfectly onto the trumpet to complete the support and suspension when the case is closed.
