The XO 1650 double horn was designed and developed in collaboration with highly respected engineers, technicians, and hornists. The one-piece leadpipe and unique F side tube offer the player flexibility and unimpeded fluidity throughout the registers while adjustable ergonomics ensure maximum comfort for the most intense rehearsals and long hours in the practice room. The valve casings and mechanism have been reassessed in every detail and updated to achieve the highest possible performance and reliability.

Playing Characteristics

The XO 1650 features a large Geyer wrap with medium throat bell, producing a more traditional horn sound while maintaining the characteristic Geyer flexibility and projection. Its yellow brass construction is capable of delivering a colorful tone with outstanding playing response, while its gold brass leadpipe warms the overall sound.

Ergonomics

Designed with ergonomics in mind. The adjustable thumb lever with multi-axis positioning ensures relaxed, stress-free hand position. An adjustable pinky hook allows players to customize the instrument to their hand size, enhancing overall comfort. Weighing 5.98 lbs and measuring 24.5" from leadpipe to bell, this horn is highly adjustable based on your needs.

The reimagined one-piece F tube is produced from a groundbreaking new 3D bending process, allowing notes to slot more easily while providing outstanding overall response. The one-piece leadpipe provides reduced resistance and superior intonation. It produces complex harmonics with a consistent playing feel. Gold-plated top valve caps add a touch of elegance, and phosphor-bonze bottom valve caps offers increased resistance to wear and corrosion.
